afstand instelring op lens

Hallo
Ik heb vandaag een lens gekregen type 'CANON Lens EF 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 II USM'

Nu zit er een instelring op van van 05 tot oneindig waar is deze voor en wanneer heb ik deze nodig om te fijn scherp te stellen of wat
deze fijne instelring is mij niet geheel duidelijk en een gebruiks aanwijzing zat er helaas niet bij

Kan iemand mij uitleg geven wanneer en hoe ik deze instelring moet of kan gebruiken

Deze gebruik je wanneer je handmatig scherp wil stellen. Als je autofocus gebruikt, dan hoef je niet aan die ring te komen

Bedoel je de scherpstelring of afstandsschaal achter het plastic raampje?

- De scherpstel ring is om handmatig scherp te stellen of na automatische scherpstelling nog iets bij te stellen.
- Op de afstandsschaal kun je aflezen wat de afstand is tussen camera en het onderwerp waarop is scherpgesteld.

Van deze lens kon ik online geen handleiding vinden. Van diverse andere vergelijkbare lensen zijn er wel via de support pagina's handleidingen te vinden (http://www.canon.com.au/Home/Business/S ... -Downloads" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Over het algemeen alleen Engelstalig. Mogelijk dat je bij een vergelijkbare lens in de handleiding je antwoord vindt.

What is a distance or depth of field scale?

Most Canon EF midrange and better lenses have distance scales - clear rectangular plastic windows set into the lens barrel. A series of numbers can be seen through this window indicating the distance, in both metres and feet, from the lens to the point in focus. Inexpensive consumer lenses generally do not have distance scales.

Canon EF prime lenses also have simple depth of field scales marked on the barrel below the window. These marks indicate the acceptable depth of field distances from the current focus distance, usually for a small number of apertures - f/11 and f/22, say, or f/5.6, f/11 and f/16. Canon EF zoom lenses, however, do not have any depth of field scales because of the complexity of indicating depth of field over varying focal lengths.

You’ll notice that there is usually a red dot on the distance scale window as well. This is used for determining the focus distance when using infrared film with an infrared filter. Since infrared energy focusses at a different point from visible light this dot is a useful aid. However, if you’re using infrared film with an ordinary red filter or no filter at all then you may not need to adjust focus using this dot, since much of your image is going to be visible light anyway. ben weer wat wijzer geworden

ben inderdaad gewend om handmatig scherp te stellen aan de voorzijde maar hier draait het glaswerk niet mee bij scherpstellen en die luxe was ik nog niet gewend

Jawel, het glaswerk draait natuurlijk wel mee, anders heeft draaien geen zin. Alleen in zijn behuizing.

zag alleen dat bij scherpstellen de zonnenkap in dezelfde pos bleef staan,vandaar die gedachte,
bij m'n andere lenzen kan ik met de zonnenkap scherpstellen
