Er is nieuwe software uit van Canon:

EOS Viewer Utility is a new software for EOS Digital SLR Cameras, that replaces the former 'FileViewer Utility'.

Improvement in EOS Viewer Utility

Preview window displays approximately twice as fast
A major revision has been made to the image processing and now preview display is approximately twice as fast as in the File Viewer Utility.
Improved user interface for better operability
- Preview window is separated from thumbnails and multiple (up to 6) previews can be opened.
- RAW Development Parameters have been changed from tool buttons to a floating tool palette.
- Improved operability when specifying multiple development conditions.
New functions for colour management
- Color spaces compatible with color management (sRGB / Adobe RGB)
- ICC Profile is automatically attached when saved as TIFF iamge file.

Het biedt iets meer mogelijkheden dan de File Viewer Utility die standaard bij de 300D zit en de gebruikersinterface is iets vriendelijker.

Het installatiebestand is te downloaden via:

Klik op 'windows drivers' --> 'click here to download the file' --> 'english drivers/applications' --> 'EOS Viewer Utility 1.0.0 Updater for Windows'

File Viewer Utility moet al geinstalleerd zijn, maar hij wordt niet overschreven. Na installatie van de EOS Viewer Utility kun je dus ook je File Viewer Utility blijven gebruiken.

En daarna gelijk weer daar heen om te updaten naar versie 1.2.1
