Ik heb aangenomen dat zijn LR-catalogus op die laptop staat.
Als je gaat formatteren, ben je die kwijt. Daarom vraagt hij of exporteren naar zijn externe HD mogelijk is om vandaar de catalogus weer in te lezen op zijn nieuw ingerichte laptop met LR5.
Dat kan inderdaad zoals ik heb geantwoord. Verder ben ik er vanuit gegaan dat zijn foto’s al op zijn externe HD staan en blijven staan. Dat zou geen probleem mogen geven.
Jeffry, je terug van vakantie-vervolgvraag begrijp ik niet goed.

Heb je de catalogus al geëxporteerd naar je HD en je laptop geformatteerd en opnieuw ingericht met LR5? Heb je de oude catalogus al geïmporteerd in LR5.

Please note – the profile for the newly added Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens is not automatically located when applying lens profile corrections. This is a bug and we will fix it in a future release. The workaround is to: manually select the profile and choose “Save New Lens Profile Defaults” in the Setup menu on the Profile tab. From then on, the lens should automatically select when the profile is enabled.
Bugs Corrected in Lightroom 5.6
Collections with a custom sort order would sometimes not properly sync with Lightroom mobile.
Updated the “Adobe Standard” color profile for the Nikon D810. Please note that this only impacts customers who used Camera Raw 8.6 or DNG Converter 8.6 to convert NEF raw files from the D810 to DNG
Star ratings set in Lightroom mobile did not properly sync to Lightroom desktop. Please note that this only occurred on images that were added to Lightroom mobile from the camera roll
Resolved the issues causing the persistent “Syncing … images” state that some of our customers have reported.”
Star ratings would sometimes not sync from Lightroom desktop to Lightroom mobile. Please note that this only occurred when attempting to sync a Collection that contained more than 100 photos that already contained star ratings.
Added information to the “System Info” dialogue to help designate if the customer installed Lightroom from the Creative Cloud.

Ik werk met LR 5.6. Nu viel mij gisteren op dat wanneer ik fotografeer met witbalans op 5600Kelvin(gisteren voor het eerst), dat de Raw's die ik inlaad in LR de kleurtemp. van 5450Kelvin krijgen.

Het klinkt vreemd, maar eigenlijk is het een non-problem, maar wel een beetje lastig uit te leggen. Bedenk dat de sensor alleen lichtintensiteiten meet. Om tot goede kleurwaarden te komen, is er voor de sensor (de meeste althans) een Bayer-filter geplaatst in een pixel-matrix van 50% groen, 25 % rood en 25% blauw. Die waarden worden via verschillende algoritmes opgenomen in het RAW-bestand. Kleurtemperatuur wordt niet als zodanig gemeten. Deze wordt door algoritmes van de camera-fabrikant berekent uit diverse waarden en daar rolt dan een Kelvin-waarde uit. Dit soort algoritmes wordt door de camera-fabrikant geheim gehouden.Jef-W schreefCOLONIk werk met LR 5.6. Adobe moet uit de waarden die in het RAW-bestand zijn opgenomen een eigen berekening maken en probeert daarbij in de buurt te komen van de waarde die uit de berekeningen van de camera-fabrikant komen. Dat lukt meestal vrij aardig maar niet helemaal.
Is dat erg? In het geheel niet. Immers, het zijn beide slechts berekeningen en geen exact gemeten waarden.
Bij de RAW-conversie toont de afbeelding een waarde in Kelvin, bijv 5450 LR/Kelvin, waar de Canon/Kelvin 5600 zou moeten bedragen.
Als je echter gaat corrigeren, doe je dat niet met een getal bijv. + 200 Kelvin, nee je schuift naar de kleurbalans die je of in gedachten had, of wilt zien. Of je gebruikt de pipet in combinatie met bijv. de Colorchecker passport of grijskaart.
Niet zwaar aan tillen, zou ik zeggen.
De "MakerNotes" van de EXIF-info geeft (voor Canon) meerdere waarden voor de kleurtemperatuur:
ColorTemperature, de ingestelde waarde
ColorTempAsShot, de gebruikte waarde bij de opname
ColorTempMeasured, de door de camera gemeten waarde
Een willekeurige opname van mij geeft bijvoorbeeld: 6500, 5258, 5258
Of een andere: 4500, 4494, 3116
Het zou goed kunnen dat LR de ColorTempMeasured waarde gebruikt.
